Harriet Griffey is a London-based ex-publisher, published author and journalist with an MA in Modern and Contemporary Literature. Currently working as a freelance writer, journalist and editor, she is a member of the Society of Authors and also leads and facilitates Writers’ Retreats.

A past commissioning editor at George Allen & Unwin, past editorial director at Macdonald Publishers, and tutor with the Creative Writing Consultancy, she is author of over 20 books, published by Penguin, Bloomsbury, Pan Macmillan and Hardie Grant publishers. Cultural editor at The Ecologist, editorial consultant to One Hand Clappingmagazine, she is also a columnist at In The Momentmagazine. As a print journalist she was written for all the UK national newspapers and was a past book reviewer for the FT newspaper. As a broadcast journalist she has worked for both BBC and LBC radio.
