Rupert Smith is the author of many works of fiction and non-fiction across several different genres. He won the Stonewall Writer of the Year Award for Man’s World, and as James Lear he has won the Erotic Awards and a Lambda Award.
A journalist for 30 years, Rupert worked for The Guardian, Time Out and Radio Times, and contributes to a large number of daily, weekly and monthly titles in the UK and USA.
He has produced and presented events celebrating LGBT history and culture around the UK. More recently, he’s been writing, speaking and advocating for adoption, after becoming a father in 2013.
