Phillip Blond
Phillip is an internationally recognised theologian and philosopher. Educated at Peterhouse, Cambridge, he edited Post-Secular Philosophy, one of the founding texts of a new radical theology.
He has appeared regularly as a commentator on BBC Radio 3 and Radio 4. He writes regular comment and editorial pieces on religion and politics for the International Herald Tribune. His aim is to make theology and philosophy culturally relevant and intellectually exciting.
It was during Phillip’s time at Cambridge that he helped to formulate and instigate one of the most stimulating and innovative movements in modern theology: Radical Orthodoxy. This new way of doing theology has stimulated widespread international acclaim and controversy. Part of Radical Orthodoxy’s appeal is marked by a critical philosophical questioning of atheism, secularity and modern culture.
