Moira Please was born in Dorset, brought up in Worcestershire and went to University in Cardiff where she trained as a dentist.
After a successful career looking in people’s mouths, she eventually escaped to live in Devon with her exceptionally handsome and supportive husband. They have 4 adult-ish children all of whom have left home. This means the fridge is usually full and she always knows where her phone charger is.
She is a voracious reader, an indifferent cook and would enjoy hoovering, defrosting the freezer and cleaning the windows but unfortunately she never has time.
She also runs The Place to Write with her life long friend, organising writing workshops and retreats (www.theplacetowrite.co.uk. )
It’s much more fun than being a dentist.
The Summer of Second Chances, her debut novel, a comedy romance, was published by Harper Collins Avon in the summer of 2017. Two further novels have since been published, The Year of New Adventures and Come Away With Me.
